In Memory of Chelsi Dawn Peterson

Last year over the course of our summer break, we were able to have private swim lessons at our home for Jacob. Our swim teacher was named Chelsi. She was so much fun and made learning how to swim even more fun!

Before she was able to return home from her BYU spring schooling, she was tragically killed in a car accident. She was 20 years old. Joe and I went to her viewing tonight and I was amazed at the amount of concerned family and friends that were here to support this family in there time of need. I can only guess at to how many people were there and I would have to say it was close to a thousand! We waited for over three hours just to be able to see the family.

This truly was an a mazing child. Christ like in every way. Everyone she knew was her best friend and she made sure everyone was happy. Always thinking of others. She was on the BYU track team and training for the track olympics.

I know that this time will be a hard road to travel for her family and our prayers go out to them. In honor of Chelsi here are a few of some fun swim pictures we have of her.

Hug your children tonight and may you all be so blessed to have a child like Chelsi!

What a sad story. I am so sorry for you. It is always hard to hear when a person life is cut short like that :(
